All items of our Signature Ramadan BBQ Box are cooked low and slow using a blend of Pecan and Mesquite wood. Following the cook, all smoked items are rested, chilled and vacuum sealed to lock in the freshness and flavor.
Be sure to follow our heating instructions.
Oven or Smoked Method
After thawing all items, remove them from the vacuum-sealed bag and place it in an oven-safe dish. Add some butter and a quarter cup of water or broth in the same dish and cover it tightly using aluminum foil.
- Place it in a preheated oven at 275ºF for~60 mins
- Reheat it until its internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
When using the oven/smoker method, ensure you add water/broth and wrap tightly with foil to maintain moisture.
Sous Vide Method
After thawing the meat, place the vacuum-sealed bag in a pot of simmering water or pour the simmering water into the box it arrives in. Leave it in there for about 60 mins. It is important to avoid boiling water.
- Reheat it until its internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
When using the sous vide method, keep the following in mind.
- Please make sure all seals are intact and there aren’t signs of air in the bag. If any, please use the oven/smoker method.
- Discard the water immediately after reheating is completed. Condensation will continue after the reheating process.
- Bring water to a boil then remove from the heat source before placing the meat.
- To get the best results, sous vide each large item separately.
For Tamales
Steaming/Stovetop (Recommended):
Fully thaw tamales, then remove from the vacuum seal & place them on a steamer pot/metal strainer
Add 2-3 inches of water to the pot, make sure the water does not touch the tamales. Heat for 10-15 mins for thawed tamales and 20-30 mins for frozen Tamales. Place a cover over the pot for better results
Heat until the internal temperature reaches 165 F (USDA recommendation)
Microwave:
Fully thaw tamales, then remove from the vacuum seal & place them in a microwave-safe dish
Wrap the tamales in a damp paper towel before heating. Then microwave for 2-3 minutes
Heat until the internal temperature reaches 165 F (USDA recommendation).
Serving instructions:
Remove the corn husk wrap from the tamales and add your favorite salsa. Enjoy!!
Store in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days or 3-4 months frozen
